About B.M.S.T. BMST—Bettering Me Starts Today—was created in 2022 as a reminder that tomorrow doesn’t exist. Only today does. Born from my lived experience as a wounded warrior, combat veteran, and trauma therapist navigating PTSD, depression, and anxiety, BMST represents the choice to stop postponing self-care and start healing now. It became the foundation for both this brand and the mission of my mental health private practice. The BMST logo reflects this truth: the heart at the center represents self-care and healing, while the surrounding leaves symbolize the people and demands around us. While many things need us, we cannot be better for anyone else until we are better for ourselves first. BMST is a reminder that healing doesn’t have to be perfect—it just has to begin.
